Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was able to show an early interest for sports when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting talent at that moment. In only 10 weeks following her initial attempt, she came in second place in the 200 meter sprint during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix was a senior in high school having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set the Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, she became the youngest World Champion in the 200m during the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007 by surpassing her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in her first Olympics and in the Olympics of Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo constantly placing within the top 3 in all her events.
